JUDr. Josef Baxa
(* 1959)

Josef Baxa was appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court on 5 June 2023. Thus, he is temporarily relieved of his duties as a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court for the duration of his term as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
On 8 August 2023, he was appointed President of the Constitutional Court.

Josef Baxa graduated from the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Praha. In 1984 he became a criminal judge of the District Court in Plzeň, later on of the Regional Court in Plzeň; he was appointed as its Vice-President in the spring of 1990.

Mgr. Michaela Bejčková
(* 1978)

Michaela Bejčková graduated from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in Brno. Between 2003 and 2009, she worked as an assistant of the Supreme Administrative Court's judge, then she was appointed a judge of the Municipal Court in Prague.

Michal Bobek graduated from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University in Prague, where he studied law and international relations. He also completed a Diploma in English and EU Law at the University of Cambridge, a Magister Juris at the University of Oxford (St Edmund Hall), and non-degree studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and the University of Queensland (Australia). He was awarded a Doctor of Laws by the European University Institute in Florence.

JUDr. Jakub Camrda, Ph.D., LL.M.

Jakub Camrda holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Praha and a Master of European Law degree (LL.M) from Stockholm University. He was the head of the European Integration Department at the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic from 2000 until 2003 when he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Justice.

Filip Dienstbier holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Prague, where he acquired a superior law degree (JUDr.) as well. He attended postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno.

Tomáš Foltas holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, Brno where in 2005 he completed his postgraduate study as well. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as a legal assistant at the Supreme Administrative Court.

David Hipšr graduated from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, Brno. From 1998 until 2001 he was a judicial trainee at the Municipal Court in Praha. After being appointed a judge he served as a presiding judge of a chamber within the civil law division of the District Court for Praha 1.

Faisal Husseini graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law with a Master's degree (2001) and a PhD (2014). He worked as a lawyer at the Office of the Public Defender of Rights from 2004 to 2008. After that, he was an assistant judge of the Supreme Administrative Court and a member of the Analytics Department of the Constitutional Court.

Jan Kratochvíl graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague (Mgr. and Ph.D.) and from the University of Nottingham (LL.M.). He also studied economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business. Before becoming an administrative judge in 2017, he worked as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights from 2009 to 2013 and as an assistant to a constitutional judge from 2013 to 2017.

Lenka Krupičková graduated from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in Brno. She took part in a scholarship stay at Fribourg University. Zdeněk Kühn was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court on 19 December 2023. Thus, he is temporarily relieved of his duties as a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court for the duration of his term as a judge of the Constitutional Court.

Zdeněk Kühn holds law degrees from the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Praha, and from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor, USA. From 1997 till 2001 he was working as an articled clerk and in 2000 he passed bar exams.

JUDr. Tomáš Langášek, LL.M.
(* 1974)

Tomáš Langášek was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court on 6 June 2024. Thus, he is temporarily relieved of his duties as a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court for the duration of his term as a judge of the Constitutional Court.

Tomáš Langášek holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Charles University, Prague (1999). He also obtained a Master of Law degree (LL.M.) from Central European University, Budapest, in comparative constitutional law (2000). In 2012, he earned a JUDr. degree from Masaryk University in Brno for his monograph on The Czechoslovak Constitutional Court And Its Fate Between 1920-1948.

JUDr. Radan Malík

Radan Malík graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, Brno (currently Masaryk University). He practised at the legal department of the Municipal Institute of National Health in Brno from 1982 to 1990.

Petr Mikeš graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. During and after his studies, he worked as a legal consultant for the Office of the President of the Republic, where he was responsible for preparing documents for the exercise of the constitutional powers of the President of the Republic (in particular, proposals for presidental vetoes of laws and submissions to the Constitutional Court).

In connection with his appointment as a judge of the General Court of the Court of Justice of the European Union, on 19 September 2016, Jan M. Passer was temporarily relieved of his duties at the Supreme Administrative Court.
He became a judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union on 6 October 2020.

Jan M. Passer holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Praha and a Master of European Law degree (LL.M) from Stockholm University. From 2001 to 2005 he served as a judge of the District Court for Praha 2.

JUDr. Kateřina Šimáčková, Ph.D.

In connection with her election as a judge of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, Kateřina Šimáčková has been temporarily relieved of her duties as a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court for a nine-year term as a judge of the European Court of Human Rights, effective December 13, 2021.

Kateřina Šimáčková obtained a law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, Brno (nowadays Masaryk University) where she was active as an expert assistant at the Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science from 1990 to 1993, and again since 2001.

In 2010 she was appointed a judge and served in the administrative law division of the Regional Court in Prague (from 2012 as a presiding judge of a chamber).
