He graduated from the faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno. Specializing in administrative law, he acquired a superior law degree (JUDr.) in 2008. Between the years of 2001 and 2006, he worked at the Ombudsman’s office and between the years of 2007 and 2012 as an assistant to a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court. In November 2012, he was appointed as a judge and assigned to the Regional Court in Brno, where he later served as a vice-president with a designation for the administrative branch. In 2018, he was temporarily assigned to the Supreme Administrative Court and in July of 2019 was reassigned to this court. He was inter alia a member of the Committee for the Rights of Foreigners to the Government Council for Human Rights or a member of the working party for administrative law of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Czech Republic. In his publications and lectures, he specializes in administrative law and administrative justice, in particular in the law of aliens.
