He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague (Mgr. and Ph.D.) and from the University of Nottingham (LL.M.). He also studied economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business. Before becoming an administrative judge in 2017, he worked as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights from 2009 to 2013 and as an assistant to a constitutional judge from 2013 to 2017. Since 2014, he has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc. In 2022, he achieved the rank of Associate Professor in Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno. His publications focus on the protection of human rights.
