Legal Secretary to the President of the Supreme Administrative Court (2005-09) and Head of the Research and Documentation Department of that court (2008-09). Fellow (2011-12) and Research Fellow (2013-15) at the Institute of European and Comparative Law of the University of Oxford; Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges (2013-15). Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union (2015-2021). Author of numerous publications in the fields of European Law, comparative law, human rights law, legal theory and history. Invited lecturer and visiting professor at various universities in Europe and overseas; at present guest professor at the Institute of European, International and Comparative Law, University of Vienna.
