Tomáš Foltas graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno and completed his postgraduate studies at the same faculty in 2005. From 2003 to 2007, he worked at the Supreme Administrative Court as an assistant to a judge. In 2008, he was appointed judge and assigned to the Regional Court in Brno, where he served as a judge in the administrative section and, since 2011, also as Vice-President of this section. In 2014, he was temporarily assigned to the Supreme Administrative Court and became a permanent judge there in the same year. He also lectures and publishes, particularly in the field of administrative law and financial law.
