JUDr. PhDr. Štěpán Výborný, Ph.D.

Štěpán Výborný graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno (Mgr., JUDr. and Ph.D.) and the Faculty of Social Studies at the same university (Mgr. and PhDr.). Before being appointed a judge, he worked as an assistant to a judge at the Supreme Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court. In 2017, he was appointed a judge and assigned to the Municipal Court in Prague, where he was assigned to the administrative justice section (since 2020, he has served as presiding judge of a chamber). In his publishing and lecturing activities, he focuses primarily on the concept of defensive democracy and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms (for example, he is the co-author of a commentary on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms).
