JUDr. Petr Mikeš, Ph.D.

Petr Mikeš graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. During and after his studies, he worked as a legal consultant for the Office of the President of the Republic, where he was responsible for preparing documents for the exercise of the constitutional powers of the President of the Republic (in particular, proposals for presidental vetoes of laws and submissions to the Constitutional Court). In the course of his compulsory military service, he performed a function of a lawyer in the Legal Representation Agency of the Ministry of Defence. Since 2004 he worked as an articled clerk at the law office PPS Attorneys and after he had passed bar examination in 2006 he became the co-operative lawyer and subsequently in 2008 the partner of the law office. Throughout his attorney career he focused on both private and public law, in the field of public law especially on the law of public procurement and concession and also tasks related to state aid. Since 2009 he became a member of the disciplinary committee of the Czech Bar Association. He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court in 2013. Finally, he has authored several legal publications concerning the relationship of international and national law in application practice of the courts.
